When we began this project, it was like finding a diamond in the rough! I knew it could be something special, but we had to transform this entry's design structure, (i.e. mirror, marble & concrete) from cold and unwelcoming to the magically impressive entry it is today. It proves that first impressions count!

Teaming up with our landscape architect ensured proper placement of the trees (complete with sprinkler system) to provide the dramatic backdrop necessary to showcase my client's unique collection of antique bronzes and incredible art pieces. The collectibles were merged together with relaxed woven chairs (perfect for lounging with a glass of wine), and can even seat 12 for dinner!

This intimate formal dining area (above) is exclusively for special small gatherings! The soft walls and dressed table & chairs (with client's initial) added just the right amount of glamour without overwhelming the scale of the room. The painting in the background lent itself to the botanical décor.

We're emphatic about ensuring that our clients personality comes through in the design process, so it was exceptionally gratifying to incorporate this clients' beloved possessions into the new design plan. We kept the palette soft with gray blue walls throughout most of the main living area (left). The collectibles have center stage and the soft golds & deep woods complement one another. A faux fireplace and draping of the piano with an antique family heirloom scarf made us feel very cozy.

Taffeta fabrics lend themselves to an "upscaled shabby chic" feel that the Client was looking for. Luxurious carpeting ground the client's unique collectibles ....lush, lush, lush. Don't you think the bed says it all?

The end result? With so many furniture stores offering design services, which unfortunately, result in a look that is very similar from house to house; it was nice to work with a client who wanted the home to be their own, to have a unique look. We had the opportunity to be creative and the Client was happy! "If the Client is happy, then so am I."
